- MoCA is a screening instrument used to facilitate the assessment of mild cognitive impairment. It is essential that people using MoCA be trained and certified.
- A clinical assessment is necessary to interpret the results of MoCA assessment . MoCA results can be interpreted only by healthcare professionals with expertise in the cognitive field, including, among others, neurologists, neuropsychologists,speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and psychiatrists.
- Results of a MoCA assessment cannot be the only measure used to diagnose a person’s cognitive abilities. Since other factors may come into play in interpreting the results of this test, results considered “normal” do not necessarily mean there is no cognitive impairment and vice versa.

- Anonymized usage data and test results from MoCA’s digital products and/or training and certification module may be used for research and product improvement purposes.
- These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws in the Province of Quebec(Canada).
Instructions for training and certification.
- Type of platform required : Desktop PC or Mac, and not a Tablet or smartphone.
- Training and certification module approximate duration is 60 minutes.
- Training and Certification is available in English or French.
- Any clinician, health professional, or worker who wishes to administer, score and/or interpret the MoCA test must be trained and certified with the official MoCA certification program.
- Healthcare professionals who are unsure whether or not they qualify to interpret cognitive tests must consult with their professional order.
- No reimbursement is possible, once a user has paid for and gained access to the training and certification content
- The Training is supported on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge Browsers.
